Topic sentences are the driving force of a paragraph. In this class, we learn their purpose, how to identify them, where it is best to place them, and most importantly how to write an effective topic sentence. The student will also learn that the paragraph has 3 parts: the topic sentence, the detail sentences, and the concluding or ending sentence.
