Show and tell...What better activity for your child to use his imagination, express himself creatively and practice public speaking? This class will consist of show and tell presentations with lots of discussion. It's perfectly okay if your child is a bit shy. I'll use questioning techniques and imaginative talk to help him/her feel more at ease. During class, your learner will have the opportunity to discuss one or two objects that he/she brings. I will also have objects to show and allow learners to ask me questions as well. Each learner may take turns asking a question about a presentation in a respectful manner.
Learning Goals
The learner will participate in an age appropriate show and tell presentation which entails using listening and speaking skills.

Parental Guidance
Your child may need assistance deciding what he/she would like to present for show and tell.
Supply List
Each learner needs to bring one or two objects to class for this lesson.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello everyone..I'm very excited to teach on this platform and hope to meet your student soon! My name is Deborah and I'm entering my 26th year of teaching. I mostly teach reading/writing based classes, but I have many interests that I may also explore. I have a Bachelors of Science in Middle School Education with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies. I also have a Masters of Arts in Middle School Curriculum Supervision and Instruction with a concentration in Social Studies. The grades and subjects that I've taught include grades 3-8 Language Arts, Social Studies and one year of 5th grade Math. I currently teach English as a Second Language and have taught this for over 15 years. As you can see, I just love teaching and learning!! I believe that every student learns in his /her own distinct way and it is the teacher's job to support this learning. I've been married for the past 16 years and have 3 children. Their ages are 14, 9, and 7. One of my children has special needs, so this is another reason that I am passionate about education. Oh there's something about me that you should know.....I love to laugh. I feel that I need at least one good laugh a day...the kind of laugh that gives you hiccups!!Reviews
