Description

Class Experience

In this one time class , the students will read the book together "If You Were a Penguin" by Florence Friedmann Minor ( used with permission) . They will learn different parts of body the penguins have .They will do learn a penguin song. They will make a penguin torn paper craft by ripping different colors of paper. The students will be encouraged to come up with a name for their penguin. I will be doing it with the students. At the end of class the students can share their torn paper penguin...

This class is taught in English.

Construction Paper ( different colors )
Child Sized Scissors
Pencil
Masking Tape
Sponges 
Glue Stick
Tempera Paint ( different colors)
Bubble wrap
Styrofoam

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Parents should supervise their students when doing the torn paper penguins craft.
