Learners will be engaged in a mystery to solve by discovering what kind of tools a secret agent uses, hunting for clues with the instructor, decoding a secret message, as well as learning how to write secret messages with "invisible" ink. I will take on the role of a secret agent trainer who has been given a confidential and important mystery to solve. This class is taught in English.
Learners in this course will: 1) Use their imagination to come up with a spy code name that suits them (imaginative play) 2) Decipher a code to an important clue in our assignment (critical thinking) 3) Learn how to create a secret message using a white crayon, white printer paper, and a colored marker (art & imaginative play) 4) Take clues found to narrow down the criminal out of four likely suspects (critical thinking, deduction)

Once we solve the mystery using our imagination and thinking skills, "agents" will receive via email their Certified Secret Agent certificate with their name.Grades Offered
1) White Crayon 2) 1 or 2 pieces of white paper 3) Colored marker (not yellow, not permanent; thick, Crayola-type markers work best)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Appropriate materials and subject matter for age range. There is reference to a crime ("It has come to our attention that a crime has been committed. Every birthday cake in town has been stolen!")
