Weekly lessons for 55 minutes per session, focused on the student's needs to progress to the next performance level. Request a time.

Class experience

The goal of one-on-one lessons is to steadily increase the achievement of the Seven T's of Brass performance as listed above. This comes through a variety of exercises, short melodies, and longer pieces of music recommended by the instructor, the student's school band director, and/or the student's own choice.
The PREREQUISITES ensure the student is ready for high school level studies. Students who do not meet these criteria are encouraged to contact the teacher for options.
1) An instrument in good working order (valves/slide and tuning slides move smoothly, water key corks do not leak)
2) Appropriate lubrication for the instrument (valve oil or slide oil/slide cream)
3) Band method books most recently used in class
4) Music stand
5) Rag for collecting moisture from the water key
6) Pencil and notebook with pockets or paper in a binder (for writing down assignments and keeping printed materials)
7) SmartMusic subscription: $40 per year (Not required for the first few lessons, see above)
