Students will learn communication skills, tips for organization and studying, and helpful insights for managing responsibilities as a young adult in a college setting.
Dr. Macias is a college professor who has been in the field of education for about 20 years. She has a masters and doctorate in education. She has taught community college, undergraduate students, and graduate levels of instruction. She has taught at both private and public institutions and both in person and online. She has worked with thousands of students over the years and will share with you the habits of the most successful students.
NO homework will be assigned, but recommended readings will be provided for those interested.
A handout will be provided at the beginning of the session to help students follow along and review later if needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
By the end each learner will have time to reflect on what they learned, questions they have, and the course will wrap up with a cumulative discussion.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
