This class will focus on both the elements of a story and the tools of an actor. Using the creativity of the group we will develop the story of our show together. The group will form a consensus about the main plot lines and goal of the story. Each student will take on a character important to the story. Individually they will define how that character will be performed. They will use the story to inform decisions about voice, gesture and movement. Then from the outline of choices we will perform our story together. This short play will be entirely the creation of the incredible students who join the class. I will guide them through the process and encourage them to make stronger and bolder choices about their characters and performance. This is a great course for students that love to play and those that want to expand their acting skills.
