This class will discuss what ADHD is, will embrace it as a strength, and will review several strategies that students can use to help with inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. We will discuss and practice grounding exercises, we will incorporate movement, utilize breaks, and review organizational strategies. These new skills can serve as tools that students can use day to day or when they encounter difficulties. The class will take a multimodal and interactive approach to learning....
Students will improve their understanding of ADHD and will develop a toolkit of strategies to assist them when they are dealing with hyperactivity and impulsivity.
I am a School Psychologist. I enjoy teaching on topics related to coping strategies, self care, and mindfulness.
