Description

Class Experience

English immersion is a great way to learn but sometimes students need a little time to focus on the pronunciation of really difficult sounds.  For Chinese (and other) English language learners the "th" sounds  (/θ/ and /ð/) can be particularly difficult. This class is a small group immersive experience.

The class has three parts.  First, we will learn the mouth shape for the phonemes (/θ/ and /ð/).  These are fun sounds and can only be done with the tongue sticking out!   Each students...

Students will properly pronounce both target sounds (/θ/ and /ð/) in isolation, in sentences, and in tongue twisters.

I am an ESL teacher with more than a decade of experience.  I taught pronunciation classes at Hubei University for Nationalities for two years and have eight and half years experience teaching in Mainland China.  Since then I have taught ESL to kids 5-13 online.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
