Intermediate Level
We will be playing a roleplaying game called Dungeons and Dragons (5th Edition) that helps students learn critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, roleplaying, and math skills. As the teacher, I will function as the Game Master. I will provide the challenges and twists as students move their characters through the Tomb of Horrors. Many GMs have a particular style of how they do things but I like to stay fluid in my approach because every party of adventurers are different. As a group, we'll be in constant communication for the entire 2 hours we're in the game. As a general rule, it would be fantastic if your student has played DnD before but it is not a prerequisite. I have taught many folks, adult and children alike, this wondrous game and I'd be delighted to teach yours as well. With that in mind, this particular dungeon crawl is more difficult than others so reading up on TTRPGs beforehand would be a good idea.
Learning Goals
You can think critically on difficult problems.
You can work collaboratively with peers to solve difficult problems.

Parental Guidance
Please be aware that this particular game of Dungeons and Dragons that I've imagined can have fantasy combat descriptions and death. We will decide how much description the students would prefer in the first session when we establish our lines and veils. You, as the guardian, can always include your own lines and veils and I'll gladly abide by them.
