Come join me in this one-time class, as we create a Thanksgiving-themed painting. We will be socializing while we paint. Students will learn how to use shading and highlighting to create dimension. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to use shading and highlighting to create dimension in their paintings.
I have taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5. I have taught virtually for one year.
No homework will be assigned. Students who do not finish their paintings may want to finish the painting outside of class.
Canvas Pencil Eraser Paints- colors of the student's choice preferably Cup of water Paper towel Pallett Paintbrushes Creativity Smile
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed informally throughout the lesson. At the end of the lesson, the students will be encouraged to share their paintings with the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be determining some of the topics of conversation that we have during the course of this class. The topics of conversation will be monitored by the teacher. This class does not discuss the history of the Pilgrims or Indigenous People.
No outside sources will be utilized.
