The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is a common assessment test used to measure a learner's English proficiency. The test covers listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. This class will help learners understand the purpose of the test, the different sections of the test, the test layout, and the time frame. Learners will be encouraged to ask questions, both verbally and in writing (via chat). The instructor will want to hear and see the learners' English proficiency in order to make specific recommendations with how each learner should further prepare for this test. This class will involve approximately 30-minutes of presentation and then 30-minutes of sample test questions and/or learner questions. Learners will be expected to use their microphone and the chat feature to respond to questions and to the teacher when called upon. All learners must have an intermediate to advanced level of English (as a second or additional language). This class is NOT for native speakers of English, nor is it for beginner level ESL/EFL learners.
