Description

Class Experience

In this 4-week course, students will learn how to prepare for the TOEFL "Speaking" portion of the test over 8 classes.

-Week 1
Introduction to the Speaking Portion of the TOEFL test
Task one: Independent - Personal Experience Questions, Social Issues

-Week 2
Task two: Integrated (Reading and Listening) - Student Life
Campus Matters Questions

-Week 3
Task three: Integrated (Reading and Listening) - Academics
Academic and Reading Lecture Questions

Students will improve their understanding of the "speaking" portion of the TOEFL exam.  They will also learn how to implement a proven template and method to help them answer the "speaking" portion of the TOEFL.

Miss Johnni has TESOL and TOEFL certifications. She has experience teaching TOEFL subjects and exam preparation to private students as well as on other platforms.

Homework is optional but highly recommended. Practicing your English every day will help you become more fluent and natural in your responses for the speaking portion of the TOEFL.

Learners are assessed informally in class. We discuss answers and work together to critique each other and learn from each other the best way to answer questions quickly and confidently.  Practicing with peers helps students to listen to others' examples and gives them ideas on how they can answer themselves.

1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

The teacher will create slides to help guide the class. Resources and fundamentals will be used that are found on the TOEFL website and other curriculum sites. All resources used will be cited in teacher-provided materials. This collaboration of materials will provide the best experience in helping the students in class.
