Since 1964 the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) has been a rite of passage for millions of international high-school students and professionals hoping to study or work in the United States. The TOEFL Junior measures the ability of younger students (8-15) to read, listen, speak, and write in English. This course prepares students to take the TOEFL Junior by giving them the practice, advice, feedback and resources they’ll need to succeed. Join me, Teacher Peter, an experienced TOEFL rater and ESL teacher, to learn the skills you'll need to score your best.
Learning Goals
TOEFL Junior introduces learners to all three parts of the TOEFL Junior (Standard, Speaking, and Writing) and provides instruction, practice, feedback, and test scoring from an experienced TOEFL prep coach and rater. Learners will be taught answering and time management strategies, and receive vocabulary and note taking advice.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Dickinson College
A native English speaker with a degree in English and Political Science and two TEFL certificates, I've been teaching English to beginning and advanced students since 2012. I also score the speaking sections of the TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, TOEIC, and ELPAC exams and have prepared many students to take the TOEFL as well as other international English exams.
I've taught thousands of hours of English to dozens of students over the past nine years and consider myself an expert in the field. Some of my students have been with me for five years or more and have become like family. I enjoy watching their development and helping them achieve their goals.
