Welcome the Series 1 of Toddler and Me Baking Class. This is the perfect course for your toddler to use their sensory skills while learning to make their own personal pizza. I believe cooking is an art and a fun way to spend time with your toddler. In this course, toddlers will be introduced to baking by using easy to assemble ingredients, spend valuable time with their guardians and their peers. We will cover cleanliness while cooking, discuss the dangers to look out for in the kitchen and...
The goals of this course are to get your toddler comfortable in the kitchen, learn how to express themselves through baking, teach them the dangers of being in the kitchen when guardians aren't around and to most of all to have fun while baking.
You and your learner will need access to an oven, a sink, soap and water. Please have your oven or toaster oven preheated to 350 degrees prior to class. Ingredients: 1 English Muffin (Whole Wheat or Whole Grain is the healthier options but any kind you prefer will work. 1/4th of a cup of marina or pizza sauce. This can come from a jar, can or be homemade sauce. Please ensure the jar or can of sauce is opened prior to class. 1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese 2-3 toppings Pick up to 3 toppings (Pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, deli ham, peppers, sausage, etc.) If you choose a meat that needs to be cooked please do so prior to the start of class. Other Supplies: Apron (optional) Baking Sheet (A small one will be fine 9) You can use whatever you have on hand. Optional Suggestions: I use a silicon baking mat. This is not required but is helpful for making the pizza crispy. You can use parchment paper or foil for easy clean up. This is not required so If you don't have these things on hand we can still make a yummy pizza.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance is required for this course. We will be using an oven and parental guidance is required for your toddlers safety.
