An interesting topic in Psychology when Consciousness is covered is the topic of Sleep. We tend to take sleep for granted and do not think about how complicated of a process it is, how important to our well-being it is both physically and psychologically and what is going on when we dream. 4 weeks: Week 1: Introduction to Consciousness - specifically the altered state of consciousness we refer to as sleep. My degrees are a BS in Psychology, an MS in Mental Health Counseling and all but dissertation for a PHD in Psychology. I was a counselor for 10 years and have taught psychology courses for the past 20 years. I have a passion working with teenagers and hope to focus on topics in psychology that I have found my students to have enjoyed over the years.

Each student will receive a packet of hand-outs created by me that will include activities for them to do as we cover each area on the topic of sleep.Assessments Offered
