During this course, students will learn about the history surrounding the ship, The Titanic. Topics to be covered will include: the structure of the ship, the historical setting in England and the United States, the people that boarded and worked on the ship, the sinking of the ship, survivor stories, and explorations of the sunken ship. I will use interactive slides, primary and secondary historical sources, fun lectures, discussions, and activities to immerse students in this era of...
I have over twenty years experience working with and teaching students. I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics. My master's degree is in Higher Education. I also have a juris doctorate degree in Law. Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular!
There will be an optional homework assignment each week. The homework assignment will take less than 30 minutes to complete.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
During this class, there will be discussions of the tragedy and death that occurred when the Titanic sank. Discussion will be kept at an age-appropriate level.
