Tip Toes and Tutus II is a ballet class for the budding ballerina with some ballet experience! This class meets once a week for four weeks, and will teach your little dancer a bit beyond the basics of ballet dance. Each class will begin with a Welcome Time, move to a Warm up & Stretch, continue to Center Floor Activities, move to Across the Floor and end with practicing a Dance Combination. ***Please note that this class builds upon Tip Toes and Tutus: Beginning Ballet, or previous ballet experience*** Day One: Welcome Time Warm up and Stretch Center Floor: Review: Positions of the feet and arms (1st position, 2nd position, 4th position, 5th position), Plie, Tondue, Posse Jumps: Review: Saute, Eschappe Across the Floor: Review: Ballerina Walks, Chasse, Posse Walks Dance Combination Day Two: Welcome Time Warm up and Stretch Center Floor: Review Ron de Jambe, Pique, add Grand Battement Jumps: Add Changement Across the Floor: Add Chaine Dance Combination Day Three: Welcome Time Warm up and Stretch Center Floor: Review Temps Lie, Add Degage Jumps: Review Across the Floor: Review, add Leaps Dance Combination Day Four: Welcome Time Warm up and Stretch Center Floor Across the Floor Dance Combination Any day where time allows, we will play a fun and engaging game, such as Freeze Dance, Simon Says, or Follow the Leader!
Learning Goals
Students will learn beyond basic ballet dance terminology and movement while dancing to fun and familiar songs. We will practice balance, flexibility, and coordination skills. Most of all we will have FUN!

Parental Guidance
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Ballet attire is encourage, but not required. Learners should either wear ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. Dancers may have a water bottle nearby, as we will take a brief water break part way through class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Miss Amy loves teaching students of all ages! She has had the privilege of teaching dancers as young as 2 and as old as 82. As a teacher, Amy's focus is to inspire young people to pursue their love of the arts by increasing youth education in dance and musical theater as a way to express oneself and build confidence. She teaches classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, creative movement, musical theater dance, and acting. Amy regularly holds Master Classes and Workshops in Audition Techniques, as well as summer camps where students can come to learn, love and grow as they experience dance, sometimes for the first time.
Miss Amy is a teaching artist, choreographer, director, and performer based out of North Texas. She received her Masters Degree from Texas Woman's University, and her Bachelors Degree from the University of North Texas, with an emphasis on Dance, Theater and Music. Amy has taught many places, including private dance studios, arts academies, charter schools and universities. She also is the owner and instructor of Crescendo School of Dance, as well as a freelance choreographer throughout the DFW area.
In her personal life, Miss Amy lives in Texas with her husband and brand new baby boy! She is excited to begin her journey into motherhood and can't wait to start dancing with her own little one!
