Calling all tiny travelers! It is time to explore the USA! Buckle your seat belts, because it's time for a cross country road trip! In this ongoing geography class, young learners will travel to a new state each week. We will learn basic facts about the state while participating in a fun and interactive scavenger hunt! Children will also have the opportunity to complete their own travel scrapbooks of the different states we visit.

Each class will begin with an an imaginary road trip ride to our destination. Children will be provided with a PDF file prior to class that contains their very own travel scrapbook that they can complete during and after each class. We will begin by learning basic facts about the state- such as its location and the state flag. Children will be able to add this information to their travel scrapbooks and color in the state flag. After learning basic facts, we will being our interactive scavenger hunt! Each week, students will also receive a separate handout that contains several state specific items to search for on our adventure. Children will be encouraged to keep their eyes open for these items, and they can circle them as we find them. After class is over, children can color in the pictures and then cut them out and glue them onto the provided travel scrapbook template. Each week, we will add 2-3 pages to our scrapbooks so children can remember all of the amazing places we visit! Our weekly adventures will always be very interactive and full of movement and activities to keep young children engaged!
