Hello! In this weekly class we will create different crafts together while socializing with our friends. We will create crafts based on the season and/or holidays occurring soon and the craft for the week will be updated at the beginning on the month prior (i.e. Februarys craft and supply list will be posted in January). This will be a fun an engaging class where I will help guide the conversations with our friends while doing our craft! Many of these crafts will mostly use material found around your house, however a supply list will be provided! Week of 2/14: Valentine's Canvas - Your learner can use any size canvas they wish, and we will also need various colors of tissue paper. Your learner many need help but before class we will need tissue paper hearts cut from the tissue paper (I will post a tutorial of how to do this quickly). Getting the tissue to stick is as easy as using water first and then watered down glue to seal all the hearts in! Week of 2/21:Rainbow Windcatcher. Using half of a paper plate, we will paint in the colors of the rainbow and then add white streamers to the bottom and a string on the top to create the windcatcher! Week of 2/28: 4 leaf Clover craft - using a four leaf clover craft, we will glue different color green tissue paper to the inside to fill in the color! Week of 3/7: Rainbow pot of Gold : Using white construction or cardstock, we will add a black "pot of gold" cut from construction paper, then using rainbow colored paints we will do fingerprint painting to add the rainbow from the pot of gold! Week of 3/14 - Leprechaun face - using a paper plate and construction paper we will create the face and hat of the leprechaun. But what is a leprechaun without his beard, and this is where your learner can be creative! They can paint the beard, glue on pieces of construction paper/tissue paper, or using use pieces of orange yard! All temples and materials are creates and provided by me and will be provided the Sunday before the new week begins. Many of these crafts do not require much parental help, but I would recommend if we are using paint or scissors are involved that week that an adult be nearby in case the learner needs assistance. If there is another time you are interested in taking this class that currently doesn’t fit your needs please send a request for another time slot, I am always willing to work new sections into my schedule :)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am so happy to be teaching on the Outschool with the opportunity to meet your learner! I love creating a fun and happy environment for my young learners to flourish! I have been an online teacher for 2 years and of my students parents would describe me as wildly energetic, patient, and laugh a lot with my students! I truly believe that kids learn the most when they are engaged and having fun and that is what I want to bring in my classroom! I want my students to feel empowered by what they are learning and that they are safe with me as their teacher!
I studied psychology at the University of South Florida and graduated in 2012. Throughout this time I volunteered at my local high school helping the band programs! I also currently volunteer at my local church caring for and teaching in the toddler class! We love having fun while reading our stories and reenacting them ourselves!
Fun fact! I am an animal lover! I currently have 3 dogs and 4 cats!! 🐕🐕🐕🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
I am so happy to meet you here and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together!
