In this second 2-day Tinkercad class in this series, we will explore more advanced Tinkercad features such as: - Aligning objects to other objects, including aligning to the side or center of an object - Mirroring objects, including grouping to make one object with 1 or more lines of symmetry - Practice using the Workplane tool to place objects adjacent to other objects - Practice using the ruler tool to move objects a specific distance away from other objects On the first day we will: - Learn the concepts by creating a button or other small object of our own design - Practice the concepts we have learned - Develop our own printable file by learning how to export - Ask questions and get feedback On the second day we will: - Divide up into teams to finish our designs - Share our designs with the class and describe how they were made - Ask and answer questions about our technique and offer any tips, or share any struggles in making our design I look forward to seeing you in class!
Learning Goals
The students will learn and practice several commands in Tinkercad, then share their designs with the group.
