In this 1 hour class, students will learn the beginning steps to 3D design using the popular TinkerCAD online CAD program.

Class experience

Students will learn mathematical concepts such as length, width, height, millimeters, centimeters, and inches. They will also cover a brief history of 3d design and printing.  
Tirre' is a STEM teacher at the elementary level. She has been teaching topics like 3D design, green screen, stop motion animation, coding, robotics, and circuits for the past 6 years. 
Ruler with inches, centimeters, and millimeters.
Mouse is helpful but not necessary. 
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will need to setup a TinkerCAD account prior to first class. This will require parent approval. Accounts can be setup at TinkerCAD.com
Students will use the site TinkerCAD. 

Additional tools to support learning: ruler that shows inches, centimeters, and millimeters.
