Students will learn about time using analog and digital formats. They will discover parts of an analog clock and a digital clock. We will learn how to tell time to the hour, draw hands on the analog clock, and write the digital time. Students will engage in a variety of activities that are fun and motivating with timed activities. Students will compare and contrast clocks to make them think critically about clocks around them. They will determine the types of clocks and identify clocks in their environment. Students will compare analog to digital time and decide whether they are the same or different. We will be writing, discussing, and learning about clocks and time to the hour throughout the four days. Join in a very hands-on and engaging class to keep your child motivated to participate and learn! Learning about time to the hour is a very important skill taught in kindergarten. This class is focused on kindergarten skills and preparing students for first grade. This class will only talk about time to the hour to build the essential skills necessary so that students are successful with telling time to the hour. Once they can tell time to the hour they can move on to more complex time.
