This is a special Halloween party designed specifically for toddlers! Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! There is something about the spookiness, carving pumpkins, costumes, and the fun movies and music that make this time of year extra special! Big Halloween events can be super fun, but you can also have a unforgettable evening at home! If you are a Hocus Pocus lover or if you've never seen it before, this even full of fun is for you! We will start off our class with...
Learners will improve communication and public speaking skills with costume show and tell. They will have a sensory and fine motor experience with finger (or brush) painting. They will practice listening and following directions during the dance party. They will improve their coordination and rhythmic skills. They will feel confident and empowered by being encouraged to use their own movements to participate in class.
The list of supplies for painting will be provided immediately upon enrollment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
When it is time to dance, children will need a clear space to move around. The space should be free of objects on the floor or anything they can bump into. This is to avoid injuries or falls. They will need appropriate shoes (no sandals, flip flops or heels). They also need a bottle of water. Learners should have a work space at a table to paint. This painting activity can be messy. You may want to put newspaper or some other material on your table to protect it. Learners are also encouraged to wear an art smock to protect their clothing.
