This class is a great introduction to the German language. In the lesson, students will learn 13 colors, 6 flags (and countries) and a German song about colors. This may seem quite ambitious for a 45 minute German lesson but as a co-operative learning specialist and school lead, I employ creative learning strategies and techniques to make my lessons more engaging, fun and co-operative. Throughout my many years experience of teaching German, students have often said that my lessons were...
Learning Objective: Know the colors in German Success Criteria (students should be able to say most or all of the following after the lesson): *I can say 13 colors in German *I can say 6 different countries and flags in German *I can sing a German song about colors *I can say what my favorite color is in German
I am an Award Winning Fully Qualified Elementary/Primary School Teacher and German Specialist and I have 9 years teaching experience. I was a senior teacher up until March 2020, giving staff appraisals and leading school meetings. I was a school lead in co-operative learning for all subjects, employing co-operative learning strategies and techniques to make my lessons more engaging, fun and co-operative. These strategies work very well in my Outschool German lessons. This lesson is loosely based on 'Colors 1' and 'Colors 2' on my website www.zeitfuerdeutsch.com. This is website is used by German teachers all of the world.
2 files available upon enrollmentA document containing all of the vocabulary for the lesson will be provided when you enrol. Students can refer to this during the lesson. I have also provided an additional 'bonus' coloring sheet with a key in German so the children can practise their new skills after the lesson. For the quiz near the end of each lesson, the learner should be able to access Nearpod on their web browser. If this isn't possible, learners can simply play along by entering the answers in the chat box.
There will be a quiz at the end of the lesson to test out and practise your new knowledge.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This lesson is based on the lessons 'Colors 1' and 'Colors 2' from my website www.zeitfuerdeutsch.com, but adapted and improved for Outschool.
