Come join me, an ACE-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, for a teacher vs. students game of tic-tac-toe! The students will perform a variety of exercises to help strengthen and tone muscles, improve aerobic endurance, and increase flexibility.

Description

Class Experience

The students will participate in a wide variety of exercises that will help to improve their overall level of physical fitness.
The students will learn the importance and benefits of getting the recommended 60 minutes of exercise each day.  
The students will be introduced to different workout formats (AMRAPs, EMOMs, Tabata, HIIT, etc.)
The students will learn about the different muscle groups in their body and which exercises they can perform to target these muscle groups.
Each participant will need: an open space free of rugs or other hazards appropriate footwear for exercising a set of light dumbbells (2-3lbs. each, two bottles of water would work as well) an exercise/yoga mat (if exercising on a hard surface) plenty of water for hydration hand towel
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It is vitally important for the students to have an open workout space that is free of rugs or other hazards,  proper footwear, light dumbbells (2-3 lbs. each; bottles of water and soup cans will work as well), and plenty of water to drink.  Each workout will begin with dynamic stretching (a movement-based type of stretching that uses the muscles themselves to bring about the stretch) and end with static stretching (a more traditional type of stretching in which each stretch position is held for several seconds) to help prevent injuries.  As an ACE-certified group fitness instructor, I will safely guide the students through a series of different exercises that I have chosen to help strengthen and tone muscles, improve aerobic endurance,  and increase flexibility.  It is very important for each participate to follow my instructions and cuing, as well as, to listen to their own body throughout the workout to help prevent injuries, such as muscle strains or sprains.
