Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this class, students will learn the following:

- The three stages of thunderstorm formation (Cumulus, Mature, and Dissipating)
- The role of moisture, unstable air, and lift in storm formation
- How thunderstorms affect airplane performance, including turbulence, lightning, hail, and wind shear
- Real-world examples of how pilots navigate thunderstorms
- Tools and techniques pilots use to avoid storm hazards

We’ll watch short video clips of real thunderstorms and learn from real-life aviation examples. This will be followed by a fun quiz to reinforce key ideas.

I use a combination of interactive slides, real-world video clips, and discussion to keep the class engaging. Students will participate in activities like answering questions, brainstorming ideas, and playing a short game at the end to test their knowledge.

My teaching style is student-centered. I like to make learning fun by using real-life examples, visuals, and interactive activities to help students connect with the material. I ensure all students feel comfortable asking questions and contributing to discussions.
