Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 3
Important Note: CEFR: all levels

The multicultural child is enriched by the whole world! In this playful class, your child learns how to say 3 key words: hello, please and thanks, in 3 of the world languages, Spanish, French and German. If your child speaks yet another language not included, and he/she would like to share with the other Learners those 3 words, it would be a welcome contribution.
In the process, your child learns geography, history and humanities of the countries that speak such languages, how languages share roots, and can even shape the way we think about things.
The class is intended to let those kind words and languages launch a mini world exploration, and invite the child to become mindful of the fact that each language and culture are unique and enriching. We will use a globe as a prop to identify in which continent/country the language began to take its current form, and how and why it travelled to different continents across the world.
Class is inclusive, explorative, artistic, interactive and fun. For these reasons and for gauging Learner's interest level and to be able to adjust accordingly, I require open mics and video in my classes so there is a sense of spontaneous community and engagement with the material.
There is no pre-requirement for this class. Class size is capped at 3 so every child will have the opportunity to participate fully, learn those new accents, and enjoy their world tour.
