Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Learners will engage in basic teamwork and relationship building skills, while learning complex creative thinking, creative writing, and improve performance skills.
I am a historian, a thespian, and a member of the Queer (asexual, trans-nonbinary) community.
(they/them or ze/zir).

I have spent the better part of my life working with at-risk youths and helping them to turn their lives around and become comfortable with the best versions of themselves. I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in History specializing in Asian History and Folklore with a minor in Theatre in 2017. After that, I graduated from Arizona State University with a master’s in World History in 2019. I have taught LGBTQ+ history, Medieval European and Asian history, Comics and Pop Culture history, Theatre, Writing, Folklore, and Occult studies for the last six years.

I also love writing stories and plays in my free time and run RPG games on the side.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This course is a safe space for students identifying either as LGBTQ+ or as an ally. Any student can be an ally, so long as they are open to learning about ideas related to identifying as LGBTQ+. Students will confront concepts such as vampires and the nature of humanity, as well as various queer romances and experiences. It does feature fantasy violence, dark themes, and romantic situations.
