From new animal births to new habitat openings to conservation success stories, exciting developments are happening EVERY day in the zoo and aquarium world! In this ongoing class, we will be focusing on the amazing stories that come out of this field and discuss the latest happenings in a weekly group setting. This ongoing class is perfect for learners who are passionate about conserving endangered species, interested in a career in zookeeping, or just animal lovers in general. Learners will have the opportunity to develop their communication skills and adapt their critical thinking while sharing their thoughts in this engaging class. By providing an unconventional classroom via a virtual reality aquarium, this course makes learning about careers unique and fun. Session topics will be dictated weekly due to current events and happenings within the field of zoos and aquariums. New, independent topics will be discussed weekly so learners are welcome to drop in at any time.

Articles will be provided to parents at the conclusion of the class for the parents can open it with their learner and/or give permission for their learner to open it on their own.

With nearly thirteen years of experience in the zoo and aquarium community, Dr. Wildlife has a wealth of practical knowledge to help learners succeed in their career goals. Doc has helped with projects around the world from rehabilitating injured seabirds in South Africa to tracking tigers in central India. Currently, Dr. Wildlife manages a CAZA accredited reptile-focused zoo near Toronto, Canada.
