The third party content, from BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, CBC, Wikipedia, and TLDR News, will be used to find what is currently making the news across the world, and examine how the media are discussing these news. Class content will be unbiased and presented without personal viewpoints. It will include multiple perspectives, and will not be sensationalized. CNN is rated 12+ on common sense media. The other sources have not yet been rated on the site. The class starts with an overview of what is/has been dominating the news over the past week, and how the various media are covering those stories. Then we go into a discussion about how various significant actors (governments, organizations) make decisions, and also how media may or may not include that in their reporting.
