Class experience
The class will discuss legal news from around the world in an informal discussion led by myself (Pamela). I will bring law-related news stories to class and will read a summary of each, which will be followed by the learners asking questions about anything they need clarification of, at which point I will provide them with the knowledge they need for comprehension of the article. All articles chosen will be age-appropriate i.e. no news related to violence. The learners will then be encouraged...
Learners will learn about the law, and they will learn social and conversational skills and cues through active participation.
I am a lawyer in Australia, and I have homeschooled my own children for the past 8 years and will continue to do so for at least another 17 years (my youngest child is 1y as of 2022). I have degrees, post-graduate, and professional qualifications in the following: - Law - Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Admission as a Lawyer; - TESOL - I have completed 8 out of 8 units towards the 150-hour qualification, and when I receive my official professional certificate from Arizona State University I will update this here; - Criminology; - I.T. Security; - Applied Linguistics; - Investigative Services; - Security, Terrorism and Counterterrorism.
