This daily breakfast group will connect each weekday morning to discuss historical events.
Class experience
US Grade 3 - 6
This course will run as a live 'This Day in History' group. Students will have the opportunity to find and discuss historical events from the day that interest them. The group will provide a jumping off point for learners to start the day interacting with a group of like minded students. This course will be discussion based. The instructor will bring 2-3 'This Day in History' topics to discuss in class with students. These topics will vary day by day, but an example schedule is provided...
Students will learn a variety of interesting historical facts, while developing their own research skills
No sensitive topics will be presented in this course, as a 25 minute course does not allow the time necessary to provide proper contextualization of high-rick topics.
Homework Offered
Students should bring 1 'this day in history' event to class each day.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No violent or graphic information will be presented in this class. The class will not cover difficult or complex topics that are in need of lengthy analysis of historic contextualization, as the length of this course does not allow for these discussions.
