During this class, we will celebrate many amazing books and the joy of reading. Each student is invited to bring 1 book to tell us about. First, I will model showing the cover of a book, telling the title and possibly the authors/illustrators, giving a brief summary of the book and telling my favorite part or a fun fact if the book is non-fiction. Then, students will be invited to share their books. Readers will kindly be encouraged to share whatever they feel comfortable and confident sharing. This isn’t a formal book report type of class but a platform for conversations amongst readers. We will also play a game at the end of class that celebrates author's unique word choice and phrasing in a funny way. This class is all about sharing the joy of reading and hopefully hearing about some new books readers might like to try for themselves. For this class, I would like to encourage readers to share any books that they find amazing!
