1 hour per week. Weekly worksheets will be provided every Sunday. Students will receive two worksheets (one to go along with each class) and two extra / optional worksheets they can do after class to extend the lesson.Assessment
There are worksheets that go along with each class. We will do the top of the worksheet together in class, while the bottom can be completed independently (or with parent assistance). The weekly worksheets will allow parents to get an ongoing assessment of how their child is doing in class. Each week I also send additional worksheets that can be used to continue the lesson at home. Please note that the additional worksheets are often lesson extenders.Class Experience
US Grade 3
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this full third grade math course, students will gather together to learn different numeracy concepts and skills! Students in class should be familiar with their numbers 1-1000 (though they do not need to have them mastered- we will work on that together). This is an ongoing class so you are able to join anytime and the weekly worksheets will be sent every Sunday. If you are unable to print the worksheets that is not a problem, just make sure your little learner has a pencil and paper or a felt/whiteboard! (All students should have paper and pencil or a whiteboard/marker for each class). 1. Greeting/How are you? Students will say hello to the teacher and one another. 2. Students will work on the math concept of the week. Teacher and students will discuss the concept, and the teacher will demonstrate on the whiteboard/computer. 3. Students will get to practice the concept in a fun an engaging way (interactive slides). 4. Teacher will go over the worksheet that goes along with the class content. Often (as long as time permits) we will complete the top half of the worksheet in class. The bottom half will be for students to practice on their own. There will also be an extra page that goes along with each class that students can complete after class if they wish. They extra sheet will have similar questions to the ones done in class, and may also have some questions that are a little more challenging for students who want to extend their learning. 5. Questions: The teacher will answer any questions the students may have about the weekly topic / worksheet. 6:Goodbye/ See you next time! Students will work on different math skills including (but not limited to) place value to 1000, addition to 1000, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, clocks, multistep problems, shapes, unknown factors, clocks and time. 2024 / 2025 SCHEDULE March 31 - April 6 C51: Telling time to the minute C52: Telling time to the minute April 7 – April 13 C53: Telling Time to the minute (word problems) C54: Telling time to the minute (word problems) April 14 – April 20 C55: Measurement kg (word problems) C56: Measurement kg (word problems) April 21 - April 27 C57: Measurement inches and feet (word problems) C58: Measurement inches and feet (word problems) April 28 - May 4 April 28 - May 4 C59: Measurement – perimeter C60: Measurement -perimeter May 5 - May 11 C61: Measurement – perimeter (word problems) C62: Measurement – perimeter (word problems) May 12 - May 18 C63: Measurement - area C64: Measurement – area May 19 - May 25 C65: Measurement – area (word problems) C66: Measurement – area (word problems) DATA May 26 - June 1 C67: Using a picture / bar graph to analyze data C68: Using a picture / bar graph to analyze data June 2 - June 8 C69: Using a line plot to analyze data C70: Using a line plot to analyze data SHAPES June 9 - June 15 C71: Working with shapes and their attributes C72: Working with shapes and their attributes June 16 – June 22 C73: Working with shapes / creating fractions C74: Working with shapes / creating fractions GRADE 3 REVIEW June 23 - June 29 C75: Multiplication 0-10 C76: Division 0-10 June 30 - July 6 C77: Word Problems with multiple steps C78: Word Problems with multiple steps July 7 - July 13 C79: Fractions C80: Telling Time Course Ends.
