Class Experience

US Grade 3
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this full third grade math course, students will gather together to learn different numeracy concepts and skills! Students will work on different math skills including (but not limited to) place value to 1000, addition and subtraction within 1000, multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, multistep problems, shapes, and unknown factors.

During the each lesson, each concept will be shown, modeled and demonstrated. I provide multiple strategies for students to absorb and allow to practice. Students will be given the opportunity to practice with the teacher and on their own. Students should come prepared with a paper and pencil or a whiteboard/marker to use.

I focus on small group courses, which means there will be more than one student in a course. We will have open dialogues and I will allow students to ask questions during the lesson to ensure understanding. Students will work collaboratively with one another by sharing ideas, strategies, and overall reasoning. Students will get to practice the concept in a fun an engaging way. Students will use Google Classroom and Google Slides for independent assignments to demonstrate understanding.

This math class will be fun and engaging. Watch your child boost their confidence and overall math performance.

Math Approach:

Concept → Practice → Mastery
