This class is taught in Cantonese.
Students will learn the terms numerator and denominator. Students will be able to draw fraction models. Students will be able to identify fractions on a number line. Students will b able to identify fractions of a whole number. Students will be able to decompose fractions. Studenst will be able to add fractions. Students will be able to subtract fractions. Students will be able to find equivalent fraction. Students will be able to compare fractions. Students will be able to solve fraction word problems. Students will be able to identify US coins. Students will be able to purchase items using money. Studetns will be able to make change.
I have a degree in early childhood and special education. I have taken a multitude of classes that have taught me how to meet the needs of every student in the classroom. I have also taught in a variety of classroom settings. This allowed me to learn multiple approaches to content area.
Homework Offered
Homework will be given to children. It is optional. I supply answers, so that students can check their work. Please note that I do not give homework every night. If students are not ready to work on problems independently, I will wait until the next night to give out homework. I do this to avoid frustration.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I used informal assessments. Students show me their work or submit their work in the chat. I keep class sizes small, so that I know the level of each child in the class.Grades Offered
Students should have a whiteboard/marker or paper/pencil each class. If they want, they can print out the homework worksheets.

I use Google Docs and Canva frequently in the class to present information. I will occasionally send students a link to Google Docs, so that they can do activities on their screens and I can check each student's work.
