This one-time class will give you an idea about how to start, or will help you decide if guitar is right for you! No-experience necessary. Just come with your guitar, and if you don't have one yet, still come hang with us. 

What We’ll Cover:
Introduction to the Instrument: We’ll explore the different parts of the guitar and how to hold it. You’ll learn how to make your first sounds on the instrument.
Basic Chords: Get a taste of what it’s like to play a chord or two. We’ll keep it simple, but you’ll leave knowing how to play a couple of basic chords that are the building blocks of many songs.
Strumming Introduction: Experience the rhythm of the guitar with a basic strumming pattern. You’ll get a feel for how the guitar can drive the beat in a song.
Next Steps: We’ll discuss what’s involved in learning the guitar, what to expect in terms of practice, and how to choose the right guitar if you’re ready to take the plunge.
