Description

Class Experience

Students will listen to a story and ask and answer questions throughout the reading, practice taking turns talking, listening and sharing observations about the characters in the story. We will also work our fine and gross motor and story retelling skills when we play a scavenger hunt game featuring images from The Wizard of Oz story.

Print out the attached 2 page printable with a game base sheet and 10 game pieces along with the house template. Cut apart the game pieces. These can be placed around the room your child is learning in or simply spread out on the table or desk they are sitting at. We will work together to search and find the pieces in the order they appear on the game board, remembering the story as we play. When we talk about home we will work together to draw pictures of what makes our homes special using the house template sheet. Bring markers or crayons to class!
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up.
