Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
We will be reading and acting out the story, "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bell" by Lucille Colandro. I will show this book while reading so that children can follow along. This is a very fun book for children to listen to about Christmas. I will be engaging them throughout the story by asking questions! I am a very active and animated teacher. I believe children learn best through fun!

First, we will listen to a fun song! After completing the story, we will talk about what the old lady swallowed first, second, etc., and then we will find and classify what the Old Lady ate by beginning letters. We will use the letters B, C, G, S, and R

I have also attached three worksheets they can complete and color after class.
Learning Goals
Students will increase their listening skills and learn to sequence while reading. We will discuss what happens first, second, third.... in the story. I want each student to develop a love of reading and have fun while learning!
