Description
Class Experience
We will begin by discussing some of the books from the series identifying what it is we love so much about them. Next we will examine the characters focusing on their unique characteristics, dialogue, behavior and goals. After that we will discuss story structure considering beginning, middle and ending, conflict and resolution. Then we will consider various techniques used to write an engaging story. The students will apply everything they have learnt to collaboratively create a brand-new...
Students will learn story writing techniques and confidence. They will gain an understanding of how to write a story that models the style and tone of a book. They will have the experience of collaborating on a writing project as part of a team.
Bring colors and paper for making pictures. Also if you wish you can also bring glue and decorative craft materials if you want to enhance your artwork.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
