Students will then work on their own to write a descriptive paragraph. They will share their descriptions with the class. We will give constructive feedback to one another and then revise our paragraphs. Time permitting,...

My degree is in Language Arts and Social Studies Education. I also blog and publish my own poetry. I had an excellent English professor in college who demonstrated to me the power of peer review for writing and editing. When I taught fifth grade, I had an opportunity to practice peer review and guided writing, both of which are powerful tools to empower young writers.
