Welcome to The Young Car Enthusiasts club! We'd be glad to have you join us! In this weekly class, students will be invited to socialize and learn a few new facts using their favorite cars as inspiration. This class is designed to primarily encourage social interaction while also teaching virtual classroom etiquette such as taking turns speaking, sharing with peers, participating in discussions and listening to the teacher. Every class meeting will follow the format below: 1) Sharing Time- each child is encouraged to show a favorite toy car, car drawing, or tell a fun story about cars to the class. 2) Introduction to our "Car of the Week". We will identify the car's make and model, special features, it's purpose (i.e. off roading, racing, etc), and the teacher will share a few fun facts about our featured vehicle. The car of the week will be presented in a fun, interactive format that will allow students to answer and ask questions as well as complete on screen activities. 3) Review and Color- Students will receive a weekly handout with two review questions and a picture of our car of the week to color after class or during class, if time allows. This class is ongoing so you may join at any time- our class meets weekly and you are able to start or stop your weekly subscription (billed Sundays) at any time. The weekly handout will be made available to enrolled students each Sunday evening by 8pm EST.

Hello Outschool families! My name is Rosalie Flowers and I can’t wait to meet you!
Here on Outschool, I teach a variety of subjects including elementary level math, reading, and science. I also have a passion for children's literature as well personal finance related topics.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Master’s degree in library & information sciences. I was previously state certified to teach K-6th before I began my career in librarianship. I've also completed graduate coursework in educational media design and technology. I love using technology to make my online courses exciting and fun! I have experience teaching children from as young as 4 all the through university graduate students. In addition to teaching for Outschool, I teach children (ages 4 through 12) English as a second language online.
It's important to me that students are actively engaged in each and every one of my lessons. You will always have an opportunity to interact with me and your fellow students in my courses! My goal is to be a positive, patient, and caring teacher that makes your student feel comfortable and confident in our online classroom. Learning should be fun and I use games and exciting activities to capture student interest from the first minute to the last minute of class.
On a more personal note, I'm the mom of a curious and clever 5 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to be able to share my home with him, my wonderful husband, and my 11 year old Shih Tzu named Ralph. We live in a small city in the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoy all the hiking and natural beauty our area has to offer. My all time favorite meal is a peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich and I will never turn down a trip through the Starbucks drive thru.
