In this on-going class, we will go on the writing journey together, addressing any areas of struggle (conceptual or grammatical) and building on your child's strengths.

Description
Class Experience
The first class will include a writing assessment to determine the student's strengths and areas for growth in writing. In consultation with both parent and student, I will determine our curricular goals and build a writing program designed to get us there. Topics may include the following, but are to be determined based on student needs: Concepts: -generating topics for personal narratives, opinion pieces, and informational essays -research skills -determining source...

If the student is attending sessions week after week, she will probably learn more from outside practice. The exact amount of homework will be determined by the family, but it will be less than 1 hour.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Student may be reassessed at parent's request after 16 weeks of instruction.
