Students will learn through exploration and identification. I will ask each student to bring one wildflower to class (from their front yard) or a photo they have on the phone of one found in the wilderness! I will be introducing a really neat website that they will have access to for free after class! We will identify both their wildflower finds and I will be showing several wildflowers I have found on wilderness hikes, in which working as a group we will identify our flowers! Your child will also learn some facts about each of my found wildflowers!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to find, photograph, and identify wildflowers by their color, petals, leaf shape and bloom season. We will work as a group to identify several wildflowers! Students will also begin their wildflower journal and learn how to continue their wildflower journal after class is over! Students will gain an understanding of the wildflowers nature has to offer all around them!

Students will need paper, a pencil and colored pencils.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
