The Wonder of Watercolor: Painting Techniques
What's included
1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Painting with watercolors is a unique art experience. Maybe you've never used watercolors before, or maybe you already use and enjoy this art medium. Either way, I want to help learners discover the flexibility, variety, and amazing effects that are possible with watercolor. No previous art experience is required! Each week, we will use a combination of PowerPoint presentations and a document camera to explore the technique for the week. I will give a step-by-step demonstration of each new skill, pointing out the uses of various brushstrokes, the effects of varying the amount of water, learning wet-on-wet techniques as we create an art piece together for each class. Each painting will center on a different subject matter as we practice the various tips and tricks we've learned. I'm committed to making this a fun learning experience for every student, giving them encouragement and confidence to continue creating art even beyond this class time. _______________ List of Weekly Subjects Week of Jan 6: Introduction and Rose Week of Jan 13: Hummingbird Week of Jan 20: Still Life with Fruit Week of Jan 27: Clownfish Week of Feb 3: Landscape with house, Pt. 1 Week of Feb 10: Landscape with house, Pt. 2 Week of Feb 17: Horse, Pt. 1 Week of Feb 24: Horse, Pt. 2 Week of Mar 3: Portrait, Pt. 1 Week of Mar 10: Portrait, Pt. 1 _____________________ Students will need: 1.
