Class Experience
Painting with watercolors is a unique art experience. Maybe you've never used watercolors before, or maybe you already use and enjoy this art medium. Either way, I want to help you discover the flexibility, varied techniques, and amazing effects that are possible with watercolor. No previous art experience is required! Using PowerPoint and a document camera, I will give a step-by-step demonstration as we create a different art piece together for each class. During the lesson, I will point...
Fine Arts Studies at LSU, Commercial Art Certificate, Professional experience in a variety of commercial and graphic arts fields.
Students will need: 1. Watercolor Paper (recommended at least 12x9, 90 LB grade weight, loose or tablet is fine) [Note: Standard printer paper is not recommended for watercolor painting] 2. Set of watercolors (basic, school-type watercolor set is preferred over tubes) 3. Three to four paint brushes of varying sizes 4. Container of water 5. Optional: additional tray/palette for mixing colors
