US Grade 2 - 4
This class is to learn all about the Solar System. Each week we will continue on with our studies. Children will learn about every planet as well as our beautiful sun. They will draw and color each planet as we go along. My experience is that shorter class times meeting regularly help to retain what we are learning. Each week we will have quick review of the weeks before. We will also be doing some drawing and coloring so those materials will need to be brought to class. We will get a realistic view of our solar system and how it works. Join us as we learn about our beautiful sky and all of its wonder together. We will begin with first our sun and then we will go through the planets one at a time until we have finished. We will color pictures and take notes of the planets so that we have physical evidence of our learning. This will be something that students can go back to time and time again. This class is very interactive and all voices will be heard. I would like to bring to this class the joy of learning. When we make learning fun, our children will learn to love knowledge. We will be drawing and coloring the planets and sun. I am a discussion based teacher and enjoy including the students in the discussion whenever possible. Week 1- Introduction to class, The Sun Week 2- Mercury and Venus Week 3- Earth and Mars Week 4- Jupiter and Saturn Week 5- Uranus and Review Week 6- Neptune and Review
