Teacher expertise and credentials
Texas Teaching Certificate in Social Studies/History
Master's Degree in History from Southern New Hampshire University
I am a certified Social Studies teacher for 8-12 in Texas. I've worked in education for 13 years teaching a variety of social studies subjects at various levels from 9th-12th grade. I am also an Adjunct Professor of History. I am an AP certified teacher for U.S. History and European History. I also own my own curriculum writing business, helping other teachers address the needs of their students with a variety of encaging resources. I believe that it is important to help students connect with the content they're learning and how it affects the world we live in today. Fun fact: I have two published books. One covers U.S. History since Reconstruction and the other one is a children's book I wrote for my son.
