The Wedding of Q and U - A Phonics Lesson
Jackie Jenkins M.Ed. NBCT
Average rating:4.9Number of reviews:(585)
In this one time course, students will understand the union between Q and U to remember that when you have a Q, you must have a U.
Class Experience
As a whole group class, we will look at the union between the letters Q and U. We will read a story about how the letters met and now live happily ever after. Students will learn that when there is a Q, there must be a U right next to it. We will also review the long A sound found in our story text. To review our phonics skills, we will draw (on whiteboards or paper) and discuss qu- words. By the end of class, students will have a working knowledge of the relationship between Q and U.
Students will learn that when there is a Q, there must be a U right next to it.
Although I am new to Outschool, I am an experienced English teacher.
